MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION In 1962, the Earlybirds of Southern California was an organization of men and women who loved 1955-1957 Ford Thunderbirds and were interested in their preservation and restoration. We now welcome all Thunderbirds, including 2002-2005 Thunderbirds, to join our active club whether the car is restored, original, modified, or an unrestored driver. We generally get together each month on the third Saturday evening for “hood popping” social hour, dinner, and/or technical meeting. The meetings are mostly held in the greater Los Angeles/Orange County area. Usually on the third Saturday or Sunday of each month, we hold a driving activity which may be a tour, rally, or “fun-khana” — or possibly a joint activity with another Classic or Antique Car club from a local area. We host annual events, such as the 'Pageant of the Thunderbird' (car show) and plan special events to encourage family togetherness and the sharing of ideas. The advantages of membership are, expert technical advice and assistance, help in obtaining scarce parts, association with other T-Bird enthusiasts, and a monthly newsletter “Bird Calls”. We welcome any Thunderbird owner to apply for membership. One does not need to own a car to join us. Note: Concurrent membership in our parent organization C.T.C.I. is recommended for membership acceptance because of insurance purposes on club outings.
